Senior Kingfishers on the move: SLSU deploys 1000+ Interns

More than 1000 student-interns were sent off by Southern Leyte State University to various industry partners for the academic year 2024-2025.

In relation to CHED Memorandum Order No. 23, Series of 2023, SLSU aims to provide seniors the opportunity to ‘acquire practical knowledge, skills, and desirable attitudes and values in reputable establishments or industries in the country’ Additionally, the students are expected to their work competencies, and discipline as they relate to people in the workplace.

Hence, various Faculty Deans along with the OJT Coordinators intensified students’ application of learning and skills including their work ethics by tapping experts in the industry including country’s premiere hotel, Solaire, for the Food Technology and Tourism and Hospitality Management related training. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has also elevated Criminal Justice students’ competencies in their pursuit to serve and protect the country.
