SLSU-TO LHS Bags 2nd Place in the Provincial Inter-School Quiz Bee 2025

Four students from Southern Leyte State University–Tomas Oppus Laboratory High School secured 2nd Place in the Inter-School Quiz Bee Competition held in celebration of the 65th Founding Anniversary of Southern Leyte. The event, themed “65 Years of Progress and Unity,” took Place on June 20, 2025, at the Provincial Capitol Gym in Maasin City.

Demonstrating critical thinking skills, the Junior High School team composed of Chaen B. Roskaric (Grade 7), Brylle M. Ampong (Grade 8), Deah Isabel A. Rosello (Grade 9), and Karishma Glybhel A. Sala (Grade 10) was coached by Dr. Vicente S. Betarmos Jr. and Ms. Krista Monica E. Laguna. The team ranked 2nd among 19 participating schools, each representing different municipalities in the province.

Their outstanding performance highlighted the value of academic excellence and intellectual development among the youth of Southern Leyte.
