SLSU Conducts Capacity Training on Enhanced eNGAS and eBudget Systems for Six Campuses

Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) successfully conducted a capacity training on the Enhanced Electronic New Government Accounting System (eNGAS) and Electronic Budget (eBudget) System version 2.1 for National Government Agencies on May 19–23, 2025, at the SLSU Plenary Hall in Sogod, Southern Leyte.
The five-day training was facilitated by four resource persons from the Accounting Systems Development and Other Services Office (ASDOSO) under the Government Accountancy Sector of the Commission on Audit (COA). Their expertise was instrumental in guiding participants through both the technical and functional aspects of the systems.
The training was attended by personnel from the Accounting, Budget, and University/Campus Information Systems Analytics (UISA/CISA) offices across the six campuses of the university. It was designed to strengthen the university’s preparedness for the full implementation of the enhanced eNGAS and eBudget Systems, in alignment with government efforts to promote transparency, accountability, and efficiency in public financial management.
The sessions for IT personnel focused on the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the systems, ensuring they are technically equipped to support system operations on their respective campuses. Meanwhile, accounting and budget staff were trained on the functional aspects, including encoding, processing, and generating reports using the enhanced platforms.
The trained participants will spearhead the roll-out and implementation of the enhanced eNGAS and eBudget Systems in their respective campus Accounting and Budget Units. This initiative marks a significant milestone in SLSU’s commitment to adopting digital solutions to improve institutional operations and governance.
