SLSU Advances with Impact in the THE Impact Ranking 2025

Southern Leyte State University takes a bold stride into the international spotlight!
In the 2025 edition of the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) expanded its participation from five to ten Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), earning a place among more than 2,526 institutions worldwide.
This year, SLSU recorded its strongest performances in Gender Equality (SDG 5), Climate Action (SDG 13), and Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8). These results reflect the university’s growing commitment to inclusive education, environmental stewardship, and the preparation of graduates who are equipped to contribute to sustainable economic growth.
What makes this recognition truly significant is the deeper mission it reflects: advancing sustainable goals and proving that even institutions from the margins can help shape global conversations. It also represents the collective effort behind it. Across campuses and offices, faculty and staff worked diligently to capture the full scope of SLSU’s contributions to sustainable development. Students played a vital role through their active involvement in community programs, innovation initiatives, and grassroots environmental efforts.
