Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) – San Juan Campus faculty member Dr. Ines G. Falcon won the Best Paper Award in the strand of Economic Prosperity during the International Conference on Transformative Extension & Community Outreach (ICTECO) 2025, held on August 27–29, 2025 via zoom with the theme “ELEVATE: Enriching Lives and Expanding Vision through Advanced Transformative Extension.”

The study demonstrated how research-based interventions can address long-standing operational concerns, reduce waiting time, and enhance the overall quality of public service.
This recognition underscores the expertise and dedication of SLSU faculty and staff and reaffirms the University’s commitment to advancing transformative extension and innovation.
This achievement aligns with Sustainable Development Goals No. 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), No. 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and No. 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
